Narine + Chris

LOVE FROM NEAR AND FAR

Time-honored traditions + special memories in the making

Before moving to the Boston area in 1992, Narine spent the first seven years of her childhood overseas (in Baku, Azerbaijan, and Yerevan, Armenia). Chris, on the other hand, was born and raised in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Currently the couple lives in Quincy with their 10-year-old Westie named Shelby and 1-year-old Beagle mix, Cooper. The couple jokes that theirs is “a true modern-day love story,” since they met on dating app Bumble. Since they love spending time in Vermont, this felt like the ideal wedding location for them. They say, “There’s so much we love about the state, from the awe-inspiring landscape to the amazing food and craft beer scene. Manchester, specifically, is such a beautiful, quaint and historic town.” The fact that everyone involved with their Kimpton wedding was so amazing to work with reassured them they had “absolutely made the right decision.”

Memorable Details

They had reserved one of the cottages—an ideal location for the bridal party to hang out and get ready. Everyone in the bridal party helped make it an especially stress-free day. The boys took an early ride (in their fun cars) up to Mt. Equinox, which eased any of Chris’s pre-existing nerves. The couple wrote letters to each other and read them privately prior to the ceremony, which proved one of the many memorable moments shared that day.

The couple was so grateful to have family and friends come from all over to celebrate with them; they say it was extremely touching to be surrounded by SO MUCH love and support.

Other special moments included having Chris’s 96-year-old grandmother there (as the only remaining grandparent); she even walked down the aisle. And Narine, whose mom walked her down the aisle, had a photo of her late dad pinned to her bridal bouquet, meaning both parents were present with her in that moment. Narine also cherished having Armenian music woven into the celebration, saying, “I loved having an aspect of my heritage and culture included in our special day.”

Their ceremony was held on The Green, right under the pergola. They were married by an old teacher/ family friend of the Benvies. All florals were executed by Nancy Bishop Floral Design (Haley). Everything was done on-site, which the duo loved and was exactly what they wanted. There were many happy tears shed throughout the beautiful day.
