Andrea + Andrew

AN UPPER EASTSIDE CONNECTION

Perfect weather, happy tears + all-night dancing

In the winter of 2015, these two met by chance at a local pub called Rathbones on the city’s Upper Eastside, when they were both living in New York. Though Andrea had grown up in Paramus, New Jersey, and Andrew grew up in Jamaica, Vermont, they both now live in North Waterboro, Maine. Since Andrew hails from southern Vermont and is an avid fly fisher, the couple had visited Manchester as their getaway spot and fell in love with the village. After staying at the Kimpton Taconic soon after its opening, they also fell in love with the venue, its rustic chic vibe, the craftsman design, the staff and the food.

Memorable Details

The celebration took place on a cloudless June day, and photographer Danielle Allendorf successfully captured the most memorable moments. The couple says that having a Catholic ceremony outside on the lawn was so special, and Father Tom Matthison making their vows made the day even more special.

“It was the most perfect summer day with not a cloud in the sky.”

The bride’s gown was from BHLND—a strapless dress with a lace topper worn during the ceremony. Her look was perfected with the help of Brandi (makeup) and Tracy (hair), from Rutland’s Five Elements Salon & Spa. The groom wore a navy blue tux with black bow tie and black details, accompanied by brown shoes.

The outside ceremony had a chill vibe, and for the reception, the seating chart consisted of tequila shots, which guests loved. The ballroom was set up with rounds and a long head table, making everyone feel close and part of the day. The rustic chic décor featured simple linens and flowers with lots of white and green ivy. The couple joyfully reports that everyone was happy crying and dancing all night, exclaiming, “Shout-out to all our family and friends!” and “It was perfect!”
